St. Salvatore Church, Old Town Prague

St. Salvatore was build on the foundation of what was the Gothic church of St. Klements. In the late 1500s, the Jesuits started building on that foundation. Its current state took several hundred years to complete, the large dome being the last addition. It’s a tribute to the Baroque style of architecture.

Aside form being a church, it also host concerts. Vivaldi’s Four Seasons as interpreted by the Czech Philharmonic is playing there tonight, but we were not able to attend. I imagine it was pretty spectacular.
