Someone once said “we’ve got to get ourselves back to the garden.” Here’s an attempt, aided in no small part by my dear friend Lee Sloan, who composed A Woman’s Way (see the song list, below) back in the late 60s and provides the heartfelt vocal on this version. No one likely remembers our little band Begonia (“the band, not the flower”) from that time, but this song of Lee’s–along with several others–has stuck with me ever since. Maybe we’ll get around to doing Little Margaret some day…
Also contributing some lovely vocals on Strong Enough and Boots of Spanish Leather is Pamela Collins, a high school classmate that has collaborated with me via long distance on several music projects since reconnecting musically at our 50th reunion.
